    EXPLORING & LEARNING FOR LIFE

    Exploring

Exploring is the worksite-based part of Learning for Life’s career education program

for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade)

    through 20 years old.

Exploring’s purpose is to provide experiences that help young people mature and to prepare them

to become responsible and caring adults.  Explorers are ready to investigate the meaning of

interdependence in their personal relationships and communities.

    Learning for Life

Learning for Life offers seven programs designed to support schools and community- based organizations

in their efforts to prepare youth focusing on character development and career education.

    Exploring Open Houses

Exploring is a unique career exploration program for young men and women ages 14-20. It provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields. Students get hands-on experience to determine whether or not a particular career field is right for them. They develop valuable networking contacts with professionals working in their selected career fields, and get to know other teenagers and young adults sharing your same interests and aspirations. Exploring can be the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.

    Student Benefits:

    • Leadership development

    • Unique career experiences, networking & internships

    • Scholarship opportunities (More than $26,000 in scholarships awarded to local youth in the last 5 years!)
